One line per claim this document makes. Each is a restatement of a numbered section below rather than a softening of it, and the section is what governs.
- Accounts
- There are none, so there is no password of yours to lose.
- Your email
- Collected on a submission and on a digest sign-up, and used only to send you your launch date or the digest.
- Votes
- A salted hash of your address, never the address — the minimum that stops one person voting twice a day.
- Cookies
- No advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party advertising scripts.
- Session replay
- How pages get used is recorded and kept for 30 days. Anything you type is masked before it leaves your browser.
- Selling data
- Never. Makers do not receive the addresses of the people who upvoted them.
- Processors
- Vercel hosts, Supabase stores, Stripe takes payments. Card details never reach our servers.
- Deletion
- Email privacy@thecompound.tech and you get an answer within 7 days.

ShipWall is a public launch board for vibe-coded products, operated by Compound Labs. This page says exactly what it collects and why. It is short because the product collects very little.
1. What we collect
If you submit a product: the product’s name, tagline, website, description, category, pricing, the tools you say built it, how much you say you hand-edited it, and your email address — plus your name and handle if you choose to give them. The email is required because that is where the launch date goes. Everything except your email and your submission’s edit token is published on the listing, because a public directory entry is the thing you are asking us to create.
If you subscribe to the digest: your email address and which page you subscribed from. Nothing else. It is used to send one email a day containing the board that was frozen that morning, and to nothing else.
If you upvote: we store a salted hash of your IP address and a derived voter key, not your address itself, together with the product and the timestamp. That exists for one reason — a daily board is meaningless if one person can refresh and vote again — and it is the minimum that works. If you give an email address alongside a vote, it is stored with that vote.
Server logs: our host records ordinary request logs, including IP addresses, for a short period. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Cookies: ShipWall sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party advertising scripts.
Session recordings: Analytics here includes session replay: a reconstruction of how a page was used — clicks, scrolls, pointer movement, and which pages were opened in what order. Everything typed into a field is masked in the browser before it is sent, so text you enter is never captured. It exists so that a flow which breaks for someone can be watched back and fixed rather than guessed at. Recordings are processed by PostHog and deleted after 30 days.
2. What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not share your email with the products listed here, and a maker whose product you upvoted does not receive your address. We do not run behavioural advertising. There is no account system, so there is no password of yours for us to lose.
3. Who processes it
Hosting: Vercel Inc. serves the site and processes request logs.
Database: Supabase Inc. stores listings, submissions, votes and subscribers.
Payments: Stripe, Inc. processes skip-the-line and featured-launch payments. Card details go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers; we receive the email address on the payment, the amount, and Stripe’s identifiers for the transaction.
Email: transactional email — your launch date, the daily digest — is sent from shipwall@mail.thecompound.tech through our email provider.
4. How long we keep it
A published listing is permanent by design; that is the product. The maker email attached to it is kept while the listing stands. Digest subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, after which the address is retained only as an unsubscribe record so we do not re-add you. Vote hashes are kept as long as the vote, because the vote is what a frozen board is computed from.
5. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@thecompound.tech and we will respond within 7 days. Deleting a published listing is something we will do on request from the maker email on file. Every digest email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works without replying to anyone.
6. Children
ShipWall is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, email privacy@thecompound.tech and we will remove it.
7. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use ShipWall after a change means you accept the updated policy.
