Questions

Every question people ask about this board, answered in full, with the page each answer is also published on.

Every listingthe questions people ask, and nothing else on this page.

Is it free to launch on Product Hunt?

Yes. Product Hunt's launch guide answers it directly — “Is Product Hunt free? Yes. It's 100% free to use.” There is no submission fee and the guide names no paid promotion tier; producthunt.com/advertise returned 404 when checked on 14 August 2026. The constraints Product Hunt does impose are behavioural rather than financial: “you cannot ask people directly to upvote your product. Instead, ask them to visit and comment”, and “Company accounts are prohibited”, so a launch has to be posted by a person.

How is ShipWall different from Product Hunt?

Three differences, and only three matter. ShipWall caps the board at ten products a day as a hard cap and pushes the overflow into a later day, where Product Hunt publishes no cap. ShipWall's board freezes at 00:00 UTC and is archived at that ordering, so a placing you quote cannot change afterwards, where Product Hunt's day turns at 12:01 am Pacific. And ShipWall organises the whole board on the tool a product was built with — it is a required field on the form and a filter on the board — which is a fact Product Hunt does not collect.

Does paying change where you rank on either board?

On ShipWall, no. Both paid tiers move a submission through the queue and nothing else: the $9 skip takes the next free slot and the $19 featured tier marks the row on its day and in the archive, but the pricing page states “Still ranked by votes alone”. Product Hunt publishes no paid tier at all on its launch guide, so the question does not arise there.

How many products launch per day on Product Hunt?

Product Hunt does not publish a number on its launch guide. That matters for a reason unrelated to fairness: on an uncapped board the products below the visible fold compete for attention from visitors who never scroll that far. ShipWall is the only one of the boards compared here that publishes a figure — ten a day, as a hard cap, with everything over that scheduled into a later day rather than added to the same board.

What does it cost to skip the queue on a launch board?

Uneed sells it at two prices: $29.99 for “Skip the line”, which lets a maker choose their own launch date, and $14.99 for “Fast-track”, which does not — the page puts it as “Don't want to pick a date? We assign you a slot in about 14 days.” The $15 difference between those two tiers is the price Uneed puts on choosing the day rather than merely moving up. ShipWall charges $9 to move an approved submission to the front of the queue. Fazier sells launch tiers rather than a skip, from $29 for Lite up to $99 for Super; the Super tier also displays $139 (source: https://fazier.com/submit, checked 9 September 2026). Product Hunt and Peerlist Launchpad publish no paid option at all on the pages cited here.

Which launch board gives the best backlink?

Fazier is the only board of the five that states a domain rating for the link it gives you — “Guaranteed high-authority backlink (DR 82+)” on its Premium tier at $49, described as permanent. Uneed states “Do-follow backlink from a 75DR website” on its pricing page. It is worth reading Fazier's free tier before choosing it on this basis: the Basic tier is free but its terms include “A backlink to our site is required (on your homepage or footer)”, so the free version is a link exchange rather than a free listing.

How many products launch per day on each board?

Only ShipWall publishes a number: ten a day, as a hard cap, with everything over that pushed into a later day by the queue rather than added to the same board. Product Hunt, Uneed and Fazier do not state a daily cap on the pages cited here. Peerlist Launchpad is on a different clock entirely — it is a weekly board, and “Launch opens every Monday from 12:00am to 11:59pm UTC.” A capped board trades the chance of a huge day for the certainty of a visible one.

Which launch board should a vibe-coded product use?

Product Hunt, if reach is the only thing that matters. Uneed is the cheapest way to control your own launch date. Fazier is the one to pick if the do-follow link is the actual objective. Peerlist suits a developer or designer audience and gives a launch a week rather than a day. ShipWall is the only one where the tool that built the product is a field on the submission form and a filter on the board — worth something if “built with Lovable, lightly hand-edited” is a fact you want on the row, and worth nothing at all if it is not.

What is the best launch platform for a new product?

It depends on which of four things you are optimising for, and they point at different boards. Reach: Product Hunt, free, and the largest audience of the five compared here. Control of the launch date: Uneed, at $29.99 to choose your own. A stated do-follow backlink: Fazier, at $49 for a “Guaranteed high-authority backlink (DR 82+)”. A week on the board rather than a day: Peerlist Launchpad, which opens every Monday at 12:00am UTC. Visibility over volume: ShipWall, which caps the board at ten products a day.

Are launch platforms free?

Submitting is free on three of the five compared here, and one of the three attaches a condition. Product Hunt is “100% free to use”. ShipWall is $0 to submit. Fazier's Basic tier is free but its terms include “A backlink to our site is required (on your homepage or footer)”, which makes it a link exchange rather than a free listing. Uneed no longer has a free route at all — its pricing page reads “The free waiting line is closed to new products”, so the cheapest way onto that board is Fast-track at $14.99. Peerlist Launchpad publishes no price of any kind on its Launchpad page.

Does paying for a launch move you up the leaderboard?

On ShipWall, no — the pricing page states “Still ranked by votes alone”, and both paid tiers move a submission through the queue rather than up the board. Fazier does sell position: its Super package is “Pinned on Fazier's Front Page”, featured at the top of the homepage for 15 days. Product Hunt, Uneed and Peerlist do not address the question on the pages cited here, which is not the same as answering no.

How many products can launch on one board in a day?

Only ShipWall publishes a cap: ten a day, and never more, with the overflow scheduled into a later day. Product Hunt, Uneed and Fazier do not state a daily figure on their own pages. Peerlist Launchpad is weekly rather than daily. The number decides whether a launch that places tenth is still on screen, which is a different question from how many people visit.
